Description

A three-page handwritten letter from S.Sgt. Wade Kehr to "Marg + Jim." The letter was most likely written at the American camp at Dobodura, New Guinea.

S.Sgt. Kehr discusses his adopted dog, "Sgt. Gunner," that he had to leave behind in Salina because the dog got sick on flights. S.Sgt. Kehr also tells Marg to girl a local unnamed girl his address and asks to be sent a photo of her.

S.Sgt. Kehr discusses several members of his crew in relative detail. He subtly alludes to a particularly harrowing mission that took place around New Years Day, but obviously censors himself. S.Sgt. Kehr is complimentary of the camp food describes a set of negatives that he included with the letter for development at home.
