A Band Practicing at the American Camp at Nadzab, New Guinea

Description

One black and white photo of a small bank practicing at the American camp at Nadzab, New Guinea. Several trombone and trumpet players are visible, as well as men playing the tuba, french horn and snare and bass drums. Lacking standard chairs or benches, the band members sit of elevated timber logs.

It is unlikely that this band was an official Group or Squadron entity, but rather a recreational pursuit for servicemen to pass their free time.
