A two-page handwritten letter from Sgt. Douglas Flack to "Folks," most likely written in 1944.

Sgt. Flack writes that he had a fresh water shower when it rained. He states that it is the first time he has had a fresh water shower since he had one at his last location, and "the first time I've really been clean since then." He also notes that yesterday they received fresh drinking water, and that usually they drink salt water from a well.

Sgt. Flack mentions that he has been giving "Sam" swimming lessons, and comments on his progress.

Sgt. Flack remarks on the animals, fish, shells, and rocks native to his location.
