Description

A two-page handwritten letter from Sgt. Douglas Flack to "Folks," most likely written in Owi Island, NEI.

Sgt. Flack writes that he received five cans of beer a few days previously and while it is not possible to keep the beverages cold, he dug a hole in the ground and then covered them, which "cools it of [sic] a little."

Sgt. Flack reports that he went to the group dentist and had three cavities, "one big one and two small ones."

Sgt. Flack tells them not to worry about sending any gifts for Christmas, as there is not much they can send.

Sgt. Flack shares that he received a letter from "Grace Kellogg" who is currently in the Admiralty Islands and might soon be near his location.

Sgt. Flack notes that he found another "cat eye."
